Kate Moss at Christian Dior Spring/Summer 2011

Florence Welch was among the stars who turned out for YSL’s show last night.

The British singer joined the likes of supermodel Claudia Schiffer and Jade Jagger on the front row to view the French designer’s ready to wear collection. Bold colors paired with smart tailoring proved a popular choice for Yves Saint Laurent, with chiffon blouses, silk jumpsuits and belted evening dresses making for a feminine, yet sharp, look.

Pregnant Lily Allen at Givenchy—A pregnant Lily Allen showed up at Givenchy in some chic pregnancy wear. True to Fall/Winter looks, she kept it simple and Parisian with a gray long coat, white blouse, and black pumps.

Glee star Lea Michele has become quite the fashion darling, striking a pose with Zac Posen. With her nude robe-like dress, I’d say that she has some more styling etiquette to learn.

—Alber Elbaz is probably the sweetest, most caring designer. The Lanvin creative gave his models the option of wearing comfy gladiator sandals (at the last minute!) for his Spring/Summer 2011 show.

—After scoring Vogue Paris‘s coveted 90th anniversary cover, Lara Stone is right back on Vogue—this time, it’s in her native UK mag.

—Finally taking a cue from some sensible publicists, American Apparel attempts to save the brand’s image in some new ads that feature a less-creepy Dov in the face of their financial woes. He just still couldn’t resist shooting the ads in his bed.

—Traditional and iconic American swimsuit model Marisa Miller changes things up for 944, sporting a dark bob wig and gloves—a far cry from her usual California-esque look.

On top of that, how great is it that the models are actually smiling?

Perhaps Ungaro himself will approve this collection…

Jordin Sparks' perfume

Jordin Sparks is launching her own affordable perfume. The 20-year-old singer has revealed she decided to create the scent titled Because of You, because she thinks celebrity perfumes are too expensive for ordinary fans.

“When I was starting this project, I really wanted it to be affordable. I looked at some other celebrity fragrances, and they were like $80. Even now, I look at a fragrance that’s $80, and I can’t bring myself to spend that much. In this economy especially, my fans deserve a high-quality, reasonably priced scent.”

Kelly OsbourneFashion police cried after her first bikini shoot.

The TV star - who has dropped to a US size 2 following her appearance on last year’s - admitted she was so “thrilled” by her svelte figure, she was reduced to tears.

“I just shot the cover of Shape magazine, which as such an incredible experience. I have never worn a bikini in my life before yesterday. I never even thought of wearing one! I cried when I saw the picture. Everyone that was there, we all just burst into tears. It was a thrilling experience.”

The newly-single blonde - who ended her engagement with Luke Worrall in July amid claims the model had cheated on her - explained while she finds sticking to her new exercise regime easy, she still can’t believe sample sizes fit her.

“I just commit to half an hour a day. It doesn’t seem overwhelming and I can handle that. I do half an hour on the treadmill and when I feel like doing more, I’ll do a few sit-ups and some weights. Now every designer will send me anything that I want, and I can’t believe that I am in this situation. I opened up all of these zip bags last night from Marchesa - off the runway -  and I can’t believe that it fits me.”

Tamara MellonTamara Mellon is to continue as president of .

The shoo tycoon - who founded the exclusive footwear company in 1996 and now owns a fifth of the firm - has revealed she has no plans to step down from her current role, as there is too much “future growth” left in the business.

“I’m not going anywhere. There is too much future growth in the business for me to leave now. We’re looking at all the different options available to us and it’s hard to know which is preferable until we’ve really examined them all.”

Her comments follow reports she and the other Jimmy Choo shareholders are preparing to appoint financial advisors in a bid to sell the company, which is believed to be worth up to $800 million.

Tamara, who oversees the label’s brand image, recently admitted she uses applications on her iPhone to plan and organize her wardrobe, as it helps her to save time. “One trick I do is I have my closet on my iPhone. I always have so many events coming up so I will take some time and prepare, say, the next 10. The outfits are all photographed and uploaded onto my iPhone, so that when I’m travelling and I’m in the office running late, one of my girls can run over to the hotel and they know - from the download - what to pull out, and it’s ready to go. It’s such a timesaver.”

Beth Ditto for John Paul GaultierBeth Ditto walked the catwalk for Jean-Paul Gaultier at on Saturday.

The Gossip singer - a size 26 - opened the eccentric designer’s ready-to-wear show with an a cappella performance, and also returned to close the showcase of punk-inspired outfits in one of his flamboyant creations. To a rapturous reception, the designer himself then took to the runway to present the outspoken singer with a bouquet of pink roses and a glass of champagne.

Ditto is currently preparing for the launch of her second collection for UK plus-size retailer Evans. Speaking about the new line, an Evans spokesperson recently said, “It will be Victorian mixed with 80s punk, through to 40s vintage with a noughties modern edge.”

Beth has previously spoken about the importance of larger women being creative with clothes in order to flatter their body shape: “I don’t understand all these women who say they feel betrayed by fashion. A piece of clothing can’t talk - it can’t tell you that you can’t have it - so really, you’re just telling yourself that. You make yourself the victim, because if you want clothes that bad, then make them yourself. You have to get creative if you’re fat. I’m really good at turning a belt into a necklace, and I can always find a nice pair of earrings.”

Rick Owens Spring/Summer 2011

“When I started out in LA, I was doing a lot of long lengths and dragging on the ground. I resent this idea of long lengths being reserved for special occasions and I like the idea that you can bring them into your ordinary life—like wearing it to the grocery store. If you wash it, tone down the colors and minimize it, that can happen.”

- Fashion designer Rick Owens, imagining where his long dresses would be worn by his customers.

Katy Perry at a concert in HungaryWhether or not you’re a fan of latex-loving , one has to admit that it’s refreshing to see a celebrity with a different body type who is confident in her skin—especially when unflattering photos of certain “too thin” celebs seem like they’ve run rampant in gossip magazines lately.

One story that recently ran in the Daily Mail featured the above picture of Perry, writing that her dress “clung in all the wrong places” and “was definitely unflattering,” leading them to write, “Usually Katy looks a million dollars, but apparently even she has her off days.”

While unflattering images of celebrities caught off guard ring in my head (makeup-less Lady Gaga at the beach, Madonna’s pre-Photoshop ads), this picture of Katy definitely didn’t seem to fit into the pattern.

Again, while I’m not much of a Perry fan—her style is too childish and bright for my taste—I must admit that she looks pretty amazing in the extremely short dresses she’s now famous for. Then again, why should I be surprised in the first place that a tabloid is changing its opinion on the healthy body type in the first place?
